Steal an Egg’s Halloween Dimension opened with Update 9, announced on 17 October 2026. Three new biomes, 18 biome pets, Echo the Ghost Dog and the Phantom Express give players several routes to explore. Candy Corn also introduces event eggs, while the train leads to an area connected to the Spectral Mutation.

Your first route is straightforward: enter the portal at spawn, help Echo recover his memories, obtain the Phantom Express Ticket and return for a train arrival. Before spending your currencies, check the distinction between the two Halloween eggs—and the conflicting Spectral prices explained below.

This guide separates the official announcement, what screenshots visibly show, Helper guidance, and player reports. The launch details come from Brockodile’s Update 9 announcement; the detailed quest route and several numerical claims come from community sources.

What is new in Update 9?

The official launch announcement confirms:

  • A spooky portal at spawn leading into the Halloween Dimension.
  • Graveyard, Haunted Swamp and Abandoned Manor, with six new pets per biome: 18 biome pets in total.
  • Echo the Ghost Dog, whose lost memories must be recovered so he can reunite with his owner.
  • Blood Moon and the Pumpkin Collection Event.
  • The Phantom Express Ticket and train arrivals every 30 minutes, at XX:00 and XX:30.
  • A new train-accessed area that unlocks the Spectral Mutation.
  • A Halloween Egg in the store, including a rare chance of a Zombified Re-Roll.
  • Candy Corn earned by returning eggs and defeating monsters, exchangeable for event eggs at the giant pumpkin in the Halloween spawn.

The announcement does not give a numerical Speed or rebirth requirement. It also does not provide a complete price, probability or reward table for every mechanic. Requirements from older areas should not be assumed to apply here.

How to enter the Halloween Dimension

Find the spooky portal at spawn and enter it. That entrance is officially confirmed. Once inside, look for the event’s three named biomes and the giant pumpkin used for Candy Corn exchanges.

Community route: Helper alexxliftzzz places Echo on the left side of the map, near the graveyard and the witch’s house. Speak to Echo to begin recovering his memories. The following walkthrough follows that Helper’s guide and attached screenshots, rather than a developer-issued quest manual.

Echo’s Memories: find the four lost objects

The Helper guide names four items: collar, dog bone, teddy bear and ghost photo. Collect all four, then return to Echo.

Lost object Location described in the community guide
Collar Around the Phantom Express; the written guide specifies behind it.
Dog bone In front of the Phantom Express, near the pumpkins.
Teddy bear In front of the giant pumpkin altar.
Ghost photo Behind the rocks on the left side of the large locked gate.

Visual correction: some labels in the circulating infographic and supplied image notes are swapped. The individual screenshot IMG_1291.png visibly shows the red collar, while IMG_1292.png shows the framed photo. Use the objects visible in the screenshots to identify them; the written directions remain community guidance and may change with the layout.

The teddy bear is visible in the Blood Moon screenshot further below, in front of the giant pumpkin altar.

How to get the Phantom Express Ticket

After returning the objects, the Helper walkthrough gives this sequence:

  1. Follow Echo to the Ghost Fisherman at the pier.
  2. Speak to the fisherman to receive the fishing rod.
  3. Use the rod to enter the underwater minigame.
  4. Steer left or right toward the treasure chest; the guide describes holding the joystick in the desired direction.
  5. Reach the chest to obtain the Phantom Express Ticket.

A separate player account from qrivsky describes avoiding bombs while heading for the chest. Treat that as supporting community guidance, not a complete statement of the minigame’s rules. The launch announcement hints at a special reward from Echo’s owner but does not name that reward; the rod-and-ticket route comes from the community walkthrough.

When does the Phantom Express arrive?

The official schedule is every 30 minutes, on the hour and half-hour: XX:00 and XX:30. Obtain the ticket, then return to board when the train appears. Its destination unlocks access to Spectral. Official announcement

No confirmed boarding-window length or journey duration was found in the launch announcement. Do not assume that a countdown in one screenshot establishes how long every train stays.

Halloween pets and eggs

The 18 biome pets

The announcement confirms 18 new biome pets, but does not name all of them. Community creator Elznahoria supplied a Halloween World chart with these 18 readable names:

Pet Pet Pet
Whiskers Jesterpop Mimic Chest
Hooded Gerbil Candlefang Toadstool
Crowshade Spirit Knight Patchwork Imp
Haunted Scorpio Hexed Pumpkin Graveyard Brute
BloodBloom Werewolf Ghost Reaper
Shelltide Voyager Abomination Kong Voidseer Pumpkin

These names are transcribed from community artwork, not a nominal list in the official announcement. The table does not assign them to individual biomes or rarities. The coloured backgrounds are not enough to establish those attributes. Elznahoria’s accompanying message says event-shop pets are not included in the chart.

Ghost Fish and fishing rewards

Players also report obtaining Ghost Fish through fishing. A screenshot shared by Hashi visibly labels the pet Eternal, and the accompanying message says it was caught while fishing. That is a player report supported by a pet screenshot, not an officially documented drop table.

The income shown above that Ghost Fish belongs to the specimen in the image. It should not be copied into a database as a confirmed base income. Reports that fishing can award Candy Corn, eggs, pets or a Spectral consumable also remain community reports, without a verified full reward pool or rates.

Store Halloween Egg versus Candy Corn event egg

These are two distinct contexts:

Egg What the evidence supports
Halloween Egg — store The official announcement confirms a new store egg and a rare chance of a Zombified Re-Roll. It does not supply a Robux price, a reroll percentage or its complete pet pool.
Halloween Dimension Egg — event exchange A player-shared shop screenshot shows a Candy Corn purchase and five reward slots. Its visible price and odds are documented below.

Do not transfer the Candy Corn egg’s odds to the store egg. Likewise, do not assume the Candy Corn egg carries the store egg’s Zombified Re-Roll feature. Zombified and Spectral are separate mechanics.

Candy Corn: how to earn it and what the event egg costs

According to the launch announcement, returning eggs and defeating monsters gives Candy Corn. Take the currency to the giant pumpkin at the Halloween spawn to exchange it for exclusive event eggs. The announcement also names a Pumpkin Collection Event, without detailing its complete rules or reward quantities.

A player-shared shop screenshot displays HALLOWEEN DIMENSION EGG, a limited-time label and a purchase button for 2,250 Candy Corn. The five reward slots show, from left to right:

Visible slot Chance displayed
First 51%
Second 24%
Third 18%
Fourth 6.5%
Fifth 0.5%

These figures total 100%. They describe that captured shop screen, shared during the launch coverage—not a live shop inspection on 18 October. Pet names are absent from the screen, so we have not assigned names to the five slots by appearance. No confirmed pity system was found in the reviewed evidence.

Blood Moon: the visible double-Candy-Corn bonus

Blood Moon is named in the official announcement. A Helper-shared gameplay screenshot provides more specific visual evidence: the in-game banner announces “A Blood Moon has risen! Everything gives x2 Candy Corn!”

That supports a double Candy Corn bonus announced by the interface. However, players have questioned whether fishing receives it, and one report says it did not. The available material does not resolve whether that is a limitation or a bug.

The screenshot’s 4:08 is a remaining-time display at the moment captured. It does not establish the full duration or frequency of Blood Moon. It also does not confirm a separate mutation called Blood Moon.

Spectral Mutation: the route, the cost conflict and the odds

Officially confirmed: the area reached aboard the Phantom Express unlocks Spectral. The rest of this section is attributed community information, not numerical specifications from the launch announcement.

Community instructions

The Helper guide says to:

  1. Capture ghosts with the ghost-vacuum equipment to collect Souls, also described as Haunted Spirits.
  2. Exchange Souls at the Soul Extractor for a Spectral Mutation consumable.
  3. Apply the consumable to an egg.

The guide distinguishes receiving a consumable through the exchange from successfully applying the mutation. It reports a 25% application chance, so receiving the consumable is not a guarantee that the egg becomes Spectral. Four attempts do not guarantee success.

Does Spectral cost 500 or 1,000 Souls?

The edited Helper guide in the collected messages says 500 Souls. The older infographic says 1,000.

A conversation from 17 October also records players asking why the cost was now 500 and saying it had previously been 1,000. Together, the edited guide and that conversation support a reported reduction from 1,000 to 500 Souls during launch coverage.

We did not find an official balancing note confirming the change, and we have not inspected the current extractor in a live server. Check the displayed Soul Extractor price before spending. Do not use the older infographic’s 1,000 figure as a confirmed current price.

What is Spectral’s multiplier?

A Helper response reports 2.75×, consistent with other community replies. The launch announcement does not give a multiplier, so 2.75× remains Helper/community-reported here.

The downloaded chart of older mutation multipliers does not list Spectral and is not visual proof of this value. We also have no verified basis to publish mutation-stacking formulas or a 4× Spectral claim as official rules.

Player-reported issues

The collection includes reports of missing Halloween egg notifications, a black screen during fishing and missing ghosts, and a Phantom Express Ticket missing after reconnecting. These are individual reports, not evidence that every player is affected.

No official Halloween hotfix list was identified in the loaded communications. That does not prove that no fixes happened, but it means we cannot label these issues fixed or promise compensation from the evidence reviewed.

Halloween Update 9 FAQ

How do I enter the Halloween Dimension?

Use the spooky portal at spawn. No numerical entry requirement is specified in the reviewed launch announcement.

How do I unlock the Phantom Express?

The official requirement is its ticket. The community walkthrough obtains it by completing Echo’s memories, meeting the Ghost Fisherman and reaching the chest in the fishing minigame.

How often does the train arrive?

Every 30 minutes, at XX:00 and XX:30, according to the official announcement. Its boarding-window duration was not specified there.

Is 500 Souls the confirmed current Spectral price?

It is the price in the edited Helper guide, supported by player discussion of a reduction. It has not been independently validated in a live server for this guide. The older 1,000-Souls infographic may be outdated.

Does the Spectral exchange guarantee the mutation?

No. The community guide describes a guaranteed exchange for a consumable, followed by a separate reported 25% application chance. A successful exchange and a successful mutation are different outcomes.

Does Blood Moon double fishing rewards?

The banner announces double Candy Corn, but its application to fishing is disputed in player reports. We have not verified it in game.

Are the event-shop egg and the store Halloween Egg the same?

They are described separately in the evidence. The store egg is linked to Zombified Re-Roll; the captured event-shop egg costs Candy Corn. Do not combine their odds or features.

When is Halloween Part 2 coming?

The earlier official preview announced a two-part Halloween event. An exact Part 2 release date and its contents were not confirmed in the official sources collected for this guide. A proposed 24 October date, a possible boss and additional mutations remain speculation. Player suggestions such as a Headless Horseman Egg or a 50/75 pity system are not confirmed Update 9 features.

Are Halloween spawns synchronised across servers?

The collected community statements conflict, and the original developer message cited by some replies was not located. The synchronisation rule remains unconfirmed here.
